Competition Training
January 5, 2010

I plan on competing in a figure competition this year so I have amped up my training. Usually I separate my body parts every day and barely do cardio since my metabolism is so high but I changed it up to add some muscle confusion. I combined back and biceps into one day, legs and triceps, and I am walking on the steepest incline for 30 minutes keeping my heart rate under 135. This way I am burning fat and not wasting any of the precious muscle I am working so hard to keep on. Also I am going to add a super set week where I will lift as heavy as I can with every exercise to shock my body and hopefully go up in weight from there.
New Year New Clients
January 1, 2010
It’s the new year, and what comes with this is more clients!! Since a majority of them tend to want to lose fat and tone up, I have purchased some extra equipment to make their workouts more fun! I bought a 40 foot 2 inch thick rope for my clients to perform undulation exercises with, which will trim up mainly their arms and back. I also bought some kettlebell weights to hit some different muscle groups some people can plateau on with regular dumbbells. The medicine balls I purchased are more squishy and full of sand which differ from the basketball-like weighted balls we have at the gym. The soft medicine balls I bought are easier to perform pushups on without having the fear of smashing your face on, and requires less core strength which is great for my beginner clients. It’s going to be so fun to have such a variety of equipment for them to use, so when they come to train, it won’t just be a boring day with the same old routine!
